Education

Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a brighter future.

Without access to education, children face limited opportunities, continuing the cycle of hardship for generations. By equipping them with knowledge and skills, we empower them to build better lives, support their families, and contribute to their communities. Through education, we don’t just change individual lives — we transform entire societies.

Al Ansaar Learning & Community Center, Pandan Indah, Selangor, Malaysia

Founded in 2016, Al Ansaar Learning & Community Center was established with the mission of providing quality education to refugee children in Malaysia. Initially, the center began as a weekend supplementary class aimed at reinforcing Islamic beliefs and enhancing Islamic knowledge among refugee children. Due to the overwhelming response, we took the next step in our journey by launching a full-day learning center in 2020. This expansion allowed us to broaden our scope beyond Islamic education, embracing a more holistic approach that includes the IGCSE curriculum. Today, we proudly serve around 130 students, hailing from diverse backgrounds, including Myanmar, Syria, Sudan, and stateless communities. At Al Ansaar, we are committed to empowering these children with the knowledge and skills they need to build brighter futures.

Baitul Nur Islamic Center, Bassilan, Philipines

Established by a dedicated Muslim single mother who, after embracing Islam, took the initiative to transform her home in Basilan into a sanctuary for learning. Her vision was to address the educational needs of her community, particularly providing a place where children could learn about Islam. In a village with a small Muslim population, there was a strong need for a center that could teach the children the essentials of Islamic knowledge. This included learning to read the Quran, understanding the fundamental principles of Islam, Tawheed, and other key aspects of the faith. Alhamdulillah, Baitun Nur has grown and now serves approximately 50 students, supported by three dedicated Ustadzahs. The center continues to be a beacon of knowledge, nurturing the next generation with the teachings of Islam.

Islamic Class at Masjid Uthman Affan, Ampapa, Mozambique

The villagers of Ampapa were overjoyed to see their old, scattered masjid, which had been damaged by a hurricane, come to life once again, thanks to the generosity of the donors from Rizq Ar Rahman. The community, eager to enhance their Islamic knowledge, reached out to request regular Islamic classes at the masjid. In response, every week, two Masyaikhs travel up to 30 kilometers by motorbike to teach at the masjid, fulfilling the villagers’ longing for spiritual learning. Alhamdulillah, the response has been overwhelmingly positive, and we hope that these classes will have a profound and lasting impact on the villagers’ understanding and practice of their deen. Ameen.
