Masjid

A masjid is more than a place of worship — it's the heart of a community. Yet many lack proper mosques due to poverty or neglect. By building and restoring these sacred spaces, we offer more than prayer halls — we create hubs for faith, learning, and unity.

Masjid Uthman ibn Affan (Ampapa, Mozambique)

Our donors funded the reconstruction of this masjid in 2023 after it was completely destroyed by a hurricane. Serving the spiritual and communal needs of the local villagers, it now stands proudly as a central place for worship, learning, and community engagement, providing the people of Ampapa a comfortable space to gather for daily prayers in congregation. It has also become a sanctuary for learning through regular Islamic classes sponsored by Rizq-Ar-Rahman, while also hosting significant religious events such as Qurbani and Eid celebrations. The masjid not only nurtures the spiritual growth of its community but also strengthens the bonds of brotherhood, unity and faith.

Surau Al-Falah (PPR Hicom, Shah Alam)

Nestled within PPR Hicom, Shah Alam, Surau Al-Falah is a surau under Rizq-Ar-Rahman’s care and support. In close collaboration with its dedicated committee, we proudly support a growing number of initiatives that uplift and empower the local residents. From food bank distributions to Islamic classes and practical courses on solah and jenazah, Surau Al-Falah is more than a place of worship — it’s a center of learning and care. To enhance the experience for worshippers, we have contributed standing fans, prayer carpets and a television for educational use, ensuring a more comfortable and engaging environment for all. These efforts have strengthened the bonds within the jemaah, making Surau Al-Falah a thriving hub of spiritual growth, service, and unity.

Madrasah Alor Tar (Tumpat, Kelantan)

Tucked within its local community, Madrasah Alor Tar serves not only as a center for learning but also as a surau — a spiritual home for nearby residents. In collaboration with Vision of Good, we helped construct a dedicated wudhu area for Muslimaat who attend the surau, ensuring that women in the community can perform their ablution comfortably and with ease and privacy, upholding both modesty and devotion.

Surau Kubang Betung (Jitra, Kedah)

Located in Changlun, Jitra, Surau Kubang Betung has long served as a vital gathering place for prayer and reflection within the local community. In 2024, Rizq-Ar-Rahman was honoured to support much-needed enhancements that make this cherished space even more welcoming and functional. To improve comfort and convenience for the jemaah, we sponsored the installation of a proper sink — ensuring better hygiene for those attending daily prayers and events. We also supported the addition of an awning extension, offering much-needed shade and expanded space during congregational gatherings and special occasions. These upgrades reflect our continued commitment to enriching community spaces.

Masjid Al-Madinah (Jembesse)

When the community of Jembesse was struck by a devastating hurricane, its only masjid — Masjid Al-Madinah — was left badly damaged and unsafe. Yet, in the face of hardship, the community’s spirit remained unshaken. Congregational prayers continued within the broken structure, a testament to their resilience and unwavering faith. With the support of our donors, we were able to help renovate and upgrade the masjid. Renovations included a dedicated wudhu area, modern toilet facilities, and a classroom for Islamic education — restoring not just a building, but a spiritual lifeline for the community.

Today, Masjid Al Madinah stands renewed — a beacon of faith, knowledge, and unity.

Masjid of Deir Damah Village (Al-Qati', Yemen)

Amid the hardship of years of conflict, the Masjid in Deir Damah Village has always been a place of hope and faith for the local community. With the generous support of our donors, it was lovingly restored in March 2025 – this included repairing the roof with durable, waterproof materials to shield the masjid from future damage. Inside, the roof was treated against termites and the walls were repaired and repainted, reviving the masjid’s beauty. A modern sound system now fills the space with the Adhan, Qur’anic recitations, and lessons, while new lighting and ventilation offer comfort to every worshipper. To ensure sustainability, a solar energy system was installed, bringing reliable electricity to power the Masjid day and night. Ceiling fans were also added to create a cooler, more welcoming environment.

The Masjid once again stands as a beacon of faith, renewing and uplifting the spirits of the villagers even as the war rages on.
